There is an ocean of media out on the internet, with many options for advertising and its now more economical than ever. To add to the sea of options that one has in internet marketing, we look at the “Content Network” as an effective strategy to connect with your target market.
You might enjoy this piece from Google about the content network. It seems to be something a lot of people are utilizing these days as an overall part of their internet marketing strategy.
You have the ability to allow Google to place the ads or you can pick and choose websites that meet your criteria. This is a managed strategy where you only pay for the clicks that you receive and your exposure can be vast as compared to search marketing. There are many marketers that are moving into the content network and the growing trend is to advertise on blogs of people that you know. If you want to see the video on this click here.
I have spent many years marketing the old school way and I had so many awards that said “Jim Jinright” I actually threw them away (thinking that being humble and low key was the way to play it), or perhaps I just needed the fire wood.
Master Marketing
Now I admit, I was slow to come around to social media and search marketing but once you understand that everything is traceable, trackable and quantifiable there’s really no other discussion. I would encourage you to examine what’s going on with the internet especially if you are tired of people not calling you back. Here’s a little clue on why most folks aren’t calling you back, they are hiding behind their computers, hence you need to market to that!
Don’t mistake what I’m saying, there will always be a place for trade shows, face to face, direct mail and in some cases well thought out call campaigns, however, there is no denying that a large percentage if not a majority of your marketing should be focused on web 2.0, search and content network marketing. The efficiencies, reach and syndication cost blow other forms of media or marketing out of the water!
Perhaps you’re new to these concepts, that’s okay, don’t let the technology get in the way of your mastery of these concepts. You can always outsource these task or you can plug into certain gurus and other valuable information to master the skill. Suffice it to say if “Jim Jinright” can adapt to it, then anyone age ten to one hundred can adapt as well.
The information coming from Google is that the content network is the worlds largest advertising channel in one place. Now that’s huge if you are looking to maximize impressions and reach with an effective ROI!
